When to answer a check-in with video
A two-minute video can say more than a long text. When we'd record one, and when text is better.
3 min read

Most check-in replies should be short text. But some weeks a client needs to hear your voice, and a short video does that better than three paragraphs.
When video is worth it
The client had a hard week and wrote a lot about it.
You're changing the plan and want to explain why.
You want to show something, like how to adjust an exercise.
The client has gone quiet and needs a nudge that feels personal.
When text is better
Routine weeks, small adjustments and anything the client will want to look up later, like new calorie targets. Text is easier to scan and easier to find again.
Keep it under two minutes
Say what you saw in the check-in, what you'd like them to do next week and one thing you're happy about. Then stop. A short video gets watched. A long one gets saved for later and forgotten.
How it works in Vikt
You can reply to a check-in with text, or record a video straight from the check-in. The client gets a notice in the app that you've answered, and the video shows up in your chat with them. The check-in is marked as answered, so it leaves your list.
